We absorb a lot from our culture — most of us don't realize how much until we're asked to take a stand on an issue or defend one of our actions. Very rarely is our worldview set in a defining moment; more often it's a gradual shaping by what influences us most, and one of our biggest influences is the world of entertainment. Members of the team from Axis, an organization dedicated to encouraging critical thinking and turning apathy to action, join us for a bold discussion of current movies, music and the messages they're sending.
Guests: Ben Davies
It's opening weekend for Courageous, the fourth movie from Sherwood Pictures, the same bunch that brought us Fireproof. This time the theme centers around what it means to be a man of honor. Ben Davies, a 22-year-old college student, competitive athlete, actor, model and star of the film, joined me by phone in between art appreciation and lunch at Samford University to give us a preview of the film and what he learned while making it. Grab your friends and see it this weekend. Guys, it has guns; do you really need anything else?
