The Land of Much Too Much: Episode 157
Jan 27, 2011
Keeping tabs on our possessions, plus Anita Lustrea's "What Women Tell Me" and a question about sexual dreams.
Too Much Stuff
Clutter accumulates. We know this, because every time we move, we seem to be moving more stuff. Sometimes we even find stuff we forgot we had. But when your stuff interferes with your life, and then interferes with someone else's life (like when you get married), it's time to take action. We invited personal organization expert Kathy Hollmann to the roundtable this week to help us sift through our baggage and the reasons it's weighing us down. To get you started, below are a few of her go-to decluttering resources. New year, new start. Go!
What Women Tell Me
Anita Lustrea has heard it all. As host of the popular national radio show Midday Connection on the Moody Radio network, she has the ears of thousands of women daily, and they in turn tell her things that they're afraid to tell anyone else. It prompted Anita to write What Women Tell Me: Finding Freedom from the Secrets We Keep. What are the hurts, addictions, circumstances and longings that imprison us? Anita joins me for a frank discussion about letting go of our life-killing labels and hangups, and finding freedom in Christ and His community of believers.
Dreaming About Sex
She dreams about sex. Sometimes it's her boyfriend. Sometimes it's nameless, faceless guys. But she feels ashamed and wonders why, when she's trying to hold a standard of purity in her relationship, does sex crop up in her dreams? Focus counselor Danny Huerta shares his thoughts.
