When it comes to suffering, we rarely think of young adults. After all, we have our whole lives ahead of us, and everything's rosy, right? But the fact is, suffering has access to everyone, and this week's panel of Millennials and Xers is no exception. Between us, we've dealt with divorce, abandonment, abuse, chronic illness, tragedy, relationship failures, and death. We've seen a lot. But more importantly, we've seen God work in it all. And that's what we share with you. As one panelist says, "[God] is very economical ... He never wastes any single experience you go through."

We remember our collective feeling of elation as Compassion employee Dan Woolley was rescued from Haiti's Hotel Montana more than two days after being trapped there in the historic earthquake of Jan. 12, 2010. Dan's with me in the studio one year later to relive the events of those dark days, and provide perspective on where he is now after losing a colleague, reuniting with his family, and coming to grips with the fact that he still has a mission here on earth.
