Mr. Heartbreaker: Episode 227
Jun 07, 2012
A guy's responsibility in a girl's struggle with lust, plus hip-hop artist Flame, and a question about leading a guy on. Featured musical artist: Flame
Lust and the Common Girl
Not too many girls get turned on by pictures of hot guys. But some do. More commonly, women fall for the scenario I described above: one where guys wittingly or unwittingly manipulate a girl's mind and emotions, giving her the impression that there's something going on when in reality the dude thinks of her as a sister. What's a guy's responsibility in all cases, whether prompting flat-out physical lust or the more subtle temptation to lead a girl on? We pull ladykillers Travis and Thomas into the studio to give us the inside scoop.
My love of hip-hop is no secret. But when I get to meet a guy who's crafting rhymes while also studying theology and biblical counseling, that's a bonus. Such is the case with Grammy-nominated artist Flame. He's topping the chart with his latest album, The 6th, but the real story is what he has to say about life and following Jesus. And he should know; after getting hit by an 18-wheeler three times, his grandma told him to repent and turn from his sin. The rest is history.
Leading Him On
It's been several years, and he's still contacting her, sending her flowers and (seemingly) holding a torch. Is he just not getting it, or is she somehow leading him on? What should she do? Candice has some advice.
