Lisa Anderson is the director of Boundless and young adults at Focus on the Family and hosts The Boundless Show podcast. She loves connecting with young adults and strategizing how to better equip them for life, relationships and a faith that goes the distance; she does not love managing budgets or signing contracts. Lisa is a graduate of Trinity International University and spent a good chunk of her life in media relations before joining Boundless. She runs to counterbalance her love of pastries and chicken tikka masala. At Pursuit, Lisa will speak about maximizing singleness and preparing for marriage.
Valorie Burton is a bestselling author, speaker and life coach dedicated to helping people get unstuck and be unstoppable in every area of life. She is the founder of The Coaching and Positive Psychology (CaPP) Institute and has served as a Certified Personal and Executive Coach to hundreds of clients. She has written nine books, including What's Really Holding You Back? She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Florida A&M University and Florida State University. At Pursuit, Valorie will speak about goal-setting, getting unstuck, maximizing your potential and taking responsibility in life.
Dr. Emerson Eggerichs is an internationally known public speaker on the topic of male-female relationships. He has authored several books, including the national bestseller Love & Respect, which is a Platinum and Book of the Year award winner, selling over 1.6 million copies. Emerson and his wife, Sarah, live in Grand Rapids, Mich., and have three adult children. He is the founder and president of Love and Respect Ministries. At Pursuit 2014, Emerson and his daughter, Joy, will talk to us about men and women — why we’re different, how that’s a good thing, and how we can better communicate with and relate to one another.
Joy Eggerichs is the director of Love and Respect Now, serving her generation of 18-35 year olds with practical relationship insights she has learned from her parents, Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs, founders of Love and Respect Ministries. Through writing and speaking, Joy is helping her peers think about relationships now, as opposed to 20 years into marriage. She will publish her first book in August 2014 called, Permanent Vertigo: How life and love cause us to question our own sanity and God’s goodness. Joy is a graduate of Westmont College and resides in Portland, Ore., surrounded by many young people who share her love of coffee, biking and minimal hair washings.
Brant Hansen is a storyteller with CURE, a nonprofit that operates hospitals and programs in 30 countries worldwide. He has been on the radio for over 20 years, heard most recently on Air1, a nationwide network with nearly seven million listeners. Brant’s first book, Unoffendable: How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better, will release in April 2015 from Thomas Nelson. Brant lives in Northern California with his wife, Carolyn. They have two children, Julia and Justice. At Pursuit, Brant will speak about what he wishes he had known when he was 30 in regards to faith, career and relationships
Tullian Tchividjian, grandson of Evangelist Billy Graham, is the senior pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He is a graduate of Columbia International University and Reformed Theological Seminary. Tullian is a best-selling author, having written seven books, the most recent, One Way Love: God's Inexhaustible Grace for an Exhausted World. Tullian is passionately devoted to seeing people set free by the amazing power of God's grace. A South Florida native, Tullian and his wife, Kim, have three children. At Pursuit, he will speak about trusting God with our past/present/future as well as God’s delight in and grace toward us.
Abby Merkel is a gifted worship leader and songwriter who has a deep love for music and how it connects with people and the church. Abby began writing music and leading worship in high school and toured extensively throughout college. She has a unique way of blending musical art with worship and is equally at home performing in public venues and ministering in the local church. She has appeared on numerous recordings and has gained acclaim as a worship leader on New Life Church’s newest recording, Strong God. Abby currently lives with her husband, Chris, in Colorado Springs, Colo., works at Focus on the Family and serves as the worship leader for New Life Downtown.
