I’m starting to realize that what I’ve named contentment is really something more akin to selfishness.
As Mandisa reminded me, community is beautiful, and it’s worth the effort.
The key to lamenting well is to realize that we were not designed to live in lament. We were designed for joy. Lament is but a pit-stop on the way.
Every time I leave the safety of my car to walk the city streets, I’m afraid. I felt this fear even before a stranger jumped into my car with me.
