Can I Get a Witness?: Episode 218
Apr 05, 2012
Sharing Christ within your family, plus Jud Wilhite on living out the Gospel in Las Vegas, and a question about unequally-yoked dating. Featured musical artist: Todd Agnew
Some say that our unsaved family members can be the toughest mission field there is. They see our failings and dismiss our faith. They ridicule our "blind obedience." They don't have the time to listen and are bold enough to tell us they don't care. This week's panel shares what it's like to be a witness within our family circles, and how words, deeds, prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit will do great things even when we least expect it.
Salvation on the Strip
Jud Wilhite didn't set out to start a church in Las Vegas; he was pretty comfortable in his small Texas town. But God had other plans, and after rescuing Jud from addiction and anger (according to Jud, God's still working on that last one), He plopped Jud in Sin City to start a church that has grown to thousands of attendees in a relatively short span of time. Now this church is seeing God work in amazing ways as they battle the effects of the economy, a hostile culture, and an increasing need for the grace of God in their city and its people.
She's bummed that her boyfriend isn't a Christian and wishes he would just see the light. But is there something she should do in the meantime? Counselor Cynthia Dervaes shares some hard truth in this week's inbox.
