October is Clergy Appreciation Month. Let’s go beyond gift ideas and consider how we can bless and encourage our pastors.
“What has God been teaching you?” the leader asked. My heart beat a little faster. I barely knew these people, and this was a personal question!
Trying out a new church has taken on the flavor of embarking on an adventure, requiring bravery and courage. But it also requires courage to stay.
Is there a hidden part of your life that no one — not even your best friend or trusted family member — knows about? Do you say, “I’m fine,” but you’re not?
Maybe the differences between you and others in your church aren’t particularly obvious (or maybe they are!), but you’re bonded together now as the people of God (1 Peter 2:9-10). This one thing — even if it’s the only thing we have in common — makes the church a family.
