Hebrews 13:4 says marriage is to be honored by all, but what does that look like practically for the single person? Is it possible to rock out your single season while still being hopeful for marriage? How should we encourage our married friends? Can we navigate the discouragement of hope deferred? Our panel weighs in on how to do it all well.
Guests: Lacey Sturm,
In looking back on Lacey Sturm’s life, it’s tempting to think God dropped the ball. Poverty, abuse, drug use and a near-miss with suicide defined the life of this former lead singer of the band Flyleaf. Until a grandma, a small church and an aptly spoken word entered the picture, that is. Lacey is now on a mission through her music: to enter dark places and bring the light of Jesus Christ. As one who’s been rescued, she wants to see others rescued from similarly destructive paths. In this interview, she shares some of her story as told in her book The Reason.
Guests: Danny Huerta,
Our listener is a new Christian and is making Christian friends. His old friends are still in his life, too, but they don’t really understand his newfound convictions. He doesn’t want to go to the same places or do the same things that he used to, but he doesn’t want to dump his old buddies either. Is there a place for old friends in his life, or is it time to move on? Counselor Danny Huerta offers advice.
