The practice of mindfulness is all the rage these days, and Christians are catching on. This art of disciplining your mind for the moment you’re in is helpful for focus, as well as dealing with anxiety, burnout and a host of other distractions and negative influences. Our panel explores the origins and applications of mindfulness (or as some say, watchfulness), and addresses the fears that some Christians have about its association with Eastern religions. Is mindfulness for you? Listen in and find out.
Guests: Michele Cushatt,
Michele Cushatt lives most days in pain following three bouts with cancer that nearly killed her. The throat and tongue cancer claimed her livelihood of speaking to audiences for a season, but with prayer, determination and some major reconstruction of her tongue, she’s back doing what she loves. Michele also weathered a rocky childhood, divorce and other personal struggles. Through it all, God proved both a pursuer and a sustainer. Michele’s story will convince you to put your hope in Christ — no matter what life throws your way.
