It’s a movie-worthy plot: Abandoned by his family when he was six, an orphaned child in Kenya works his way out of poverty, finds God, and becomes a wealthy and influential businessman. But then [spoiler alert], he sells everything, and together with his wife and eight biological children, begins welcoming African orphans into his home. This is the story of Dr. Charles Mully, the subject of the documentary “Mully,” in theaters October 3-5, 2017. Lisa sits down with Charles, his wife, Esther, and son Dickson to hear the incredible journey that resulted in the world’s largest family. The Mullys have now rescued more than 12,000 children from the streets of Kenya.
