After years of working off to-do lists, I have realized that I began to judge the success of my days by how many tasks I checked off my list.

When we approach conflict with the goal of reconciliation instead of simply winning the argument, the other person will feel respected and be less likely to put up walls.
Once we’re past Labor Day weekend and the leaves start changing, I begin complaining that winter is coming.

Sometimes people suffer. Sometimes people are mistreated. Sometimes people die too young when other people still need them. And it all seems so unfair.
What I think “The Bachelorette” gets right and wrong about sex, sin, grace and discipleship.
Some days I really want to go back — back to a time where life was simpler and imagination was everything.
Even if you remove the biblical perspective, you don’t have to look far to see the many benefits of this important institution.
