We’re all stories written by God. But it’s easy to hate parts of your story. Maybe your story isn’t panning out the way you expected it to.
It’s easy to accept that good can come out of suffering—unless you’re the one who’s suffering. It’s much harder to praise God when the pain won’t stop.
Feeling in the “depths of despair” doesn’t mean you’re turning your back on God; it can mean you are turning your face toward Him.
“Just because your problem isn’t supposedly as bad as someone else’s, doesn’t mean it’s not important to you,” he explained.
Celebrating Advent isn’t the point. Ultimately, we want all our activity this season — the busyness and the intentionality — to pull us closer to our God.
