In looking back on Lacey Sturm’s life, it’s tempting to think God dropped the ball. Poverty, abuse, drug use and a near-miss with suicide defined the life of this former lead singer of the band Flyleaf. Until a grandma, a small church and an aptly spoken word entered the picture, that is. Lacey is now on a mission through her music: to enter dark places and bring the light of Jesus Christ. As one who’s been rescued, she wants to see others rescued from similarly destructive paths. In this interview, she shares some of her story as told in her book The Reason.
